18 years of my life at Bilaspur, being a part of DAV and living in my home at DAV Staff Quarters; all are very dear to me.
I do not regret any deed of my life but the one thing which makes me feel unfortunate is that I did not get a chance to settle with my job and then take care of my dad or to thank him for making me capable enough to stand on my own. He was the best Dad in every manner. He was always there to support me in every situation and made sure that I got the best of everything I needed.
He was a person whom I would always look upto, not simply because he was my dad but owing to the fact that he used to preach what he practiced. The discipline, truthfulness, generosity and punctuality which he asked me to imbibe were what he followed everyday. There would hardly be someone who would have come to him for help with some genuine reason and be turned down by him. Also there were many times, which I have witnessed closely when he did not accept profitable terms with others and stuck to his Principles.
Papa's untimely demise was a sudden blow to all of us. Deep is my grief but it gets deeper when I think of those many underprivileged for whom he had many more projects in mind, in an effort to improve their lives.
All I can say today is maybe the Candle which burns twice as bright, burns only half as long and I will always be my Dad's proud daughter. Love you Papa and Thank you for everything.
Consciously I was pushing away this moment, to pen down few words about dad. Not that I don't have enough to say, in some corner of my heart am still not ready to accept that he is not among us.
A person who devoted every second of his life to the work he was so passionate about, believed and lived it, who taught to fight for the principles you believe in, never to compromise no matter how difficult the path is, be compassionate to all, use every opportunity that you get to help someone by providing means to improve their life, live life to the fullest; so much more than just words - am sure everyone would know him for atleast one.
Three simple things that he taught us in life - 1.There is no substitute for hardwork 2.Education and culture defines a good human being, not money or degrees 3.No matter what heights you reach live the simplest life.
Somehow I believe that he is still with us, watching over us and guiding us.
I hope it comforts you to know that your grief is shared by all of us who knew your dad. He was a wonderful man and he will be sorely missed.
Lt. Shri Asoka Kumar was the builders of a new dawn, working with imagination, insight, and boldness. He presented a challenge that calls forth the best in people and brings them together around a shared sense of purpose. He will remain very alive in our memories and admiration.
Your father sounds like he was an absolutely wonderful man. I know that it is hard that he is gone at such a young age but draw comfort in all of the memories you have of him and of his excellent work here. Remember, he will never be far from your heart and he is very proud to have been able to say he was your father. May his wisdom and all that he has taught you continue to guide you through your days.
The most disciplined person who made future of several students bright....the way he cared for D.A.V. no one else can without him D.A.V. Bilaspur seems incomplete to me.I thank him a lot for being there through out my school life to guide us the right path... Thanks for making us reach where we are. Will always miss you.. R.I.P.
he is my best principal in my whole life.i am proud to be a student of D.A.V.public school vasant vihar bilaspur [c.g.].i am feel luckey, that i meet such great person.i will never forgot it.
I AM VERY SAD TO KNOW ABOUT OUR SIR I WILL NEVER FORGET HIM "HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO MAKE OUR LIFE FULL OF EDUCATION".......I ALWAYS REMEMBER HIM WITH GREAT RESPECT.
I still remember the when i was running on the assembly area during recess ,i was in class 4 that time ,my mouth filled with food stuff ,,he stopped me and asked me "" you are Das madam's daughter?"" i said "yes ", then he said why are you ruunning on then school corridor.....
One of the greatest person i ever met in person whom i knew for the last 7-8 years. It is next to impossible to fill in the void left by him.My salute to the great man of principles & deep visionery. May his family members get the inner strength to deal what the cruel nature has taken away so voilently.
In him not only did i get a good boss but also a good friend and a guide. He was a person who appreciated work first and foremost. any idea which was for the betterment of the children was readily and first accepted by him.he was a strict boss but saw to it that his staff did not suffer,he did not believe in hitting below the belt. The schoolachieved good heights and repute due to his hardwork and vision. He groomed his children well and he will be happy up above to see his wonderful daughters capable and strong enough to handle the pressures of the world.
He Always had been a great Role model for the whole Bilaspur Education system. He was best in the business .Treated every child as his own and treated every staff member as a family member. We Miss u sir and may your teachings will remain always with your Students.
still gathering courage 2 believe of his untimely demise nd pen of HIM.may be some day gather enough words 2 compile my emotions nd d long time spent with HIM.may b some day ............when??????????????
Remembering him as a great personality, great teacher, immense knowledge and thoughts and role model for me.U will be always present in my heart...we miss u Sir. From-ASHWIN.
I strongly feel that people understand the worth of something or some only when they lose them. I studied at DAV Public School, Vasantvihar,Bilaspur till class iv and knew him for being our strict principal sir, But now when I look back I see a man who worked harder, not just than any principal but than anybody else. He worked hard to bring and make our school where it is today. DAV pubil school vasantvihar, Bilaspur is not built on a piece of land but it stands tall on the back of Shri. Ashok Kumar Sir. I never got a chance to share my gratitude and sorrow with his family. I only have this message for you that he will always be with us in our hearts, our souls, our ups,our lows, He will never be forgotten.
